Mock API Builder is a free tool for building and hosting mock APIs. The service is provided as-is with no guarantee of uptime, availability, or data persistence.
Organization administrators may configure SAML 2.0 and/or OIDC single sign-on against their own identity provider. Users who sign in via organization SSO are bound by these Terms and by their organization's IdP policies.
To keep the service fair and available for everyone, we apply rate limits and per-project storage caps. We may adjust these limits at any time without prior notice. Some features (such as mock rule generation and OpenAPI schema fill) use AI — see AI Disclaimer below.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Mock API Builder. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You can also use Mock API Builder without an account via guest projects. Guest projects are not linked to an account and their data is automatically deleted 7 days after creation.

We may investigate suspected violations and block, suspend, or remove content, endpoints, or accounts that violate this section.
You retain ownership of the projects, endpoints, and mock data you create ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and serve Your Content solely to operate the service.
Request logs, optional proxy / recorded traffic, and request replay may store request and response headers and bodies for your mock or recorded traffic. Those records may include credentials or other secrets if callers send them. You are responsible for not sending secrets you do not want persisted. Content served through mock endpoints remains subject to Acceptable Use.
If you use AI-assisted features (mock rule generation, schema fill), we send the endpoint details you submit to Google Gemini, an AI service, so it can generate a response. If Gemini is temporarily unavailable, we may send the same information to a backup AI service to keep the feature working. We do not use Your Content to train any AI models, on either service.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and warrant that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate these Terms or any third party's rights.
Mock rule generation and OpenAPI schema fill are powered by AI (Google Gemini, with an automatic backup service used if Gemini is unavailable). Generated output may contain errors, omissions, or unexpected results.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before relying on it. Mock API Builder is a development tool, not a source of factual or authoritative information, and we are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated output.
Mock API Builder relies on third-party providers, including Google Gemini (AI generation) and OpenRouter (a backup AI service used if Gemini is unavailable), Google Analytics, PostHog, and Vercel Speed Insights (analytics and performance measurement, cookie-gated), Google reCAPTCHA (bot protection), Mailgun (email delivery), GitHub/Google OAuth (optional sign-in), and — when an organization enables it — the customer's own SAML/OIDC identity provider for enterprise SSO. Your use of features backed by these providers is also subject to their own terms of service, in addition to these Terms. See our Privacy Policy for the full list and links to each provider's policies.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated output will be accurate, appropriate, or free of infringing content.
We do not guarantee uptime, reliability, or data retention. Do not rely on the service for critical production use.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including data loss or service interruption. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service is limited to $0, since the service is provided free of charge.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: Your Content; your use of the service or AI-generated output; your violation of these Terms; or your violation of any third party's rights or applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
We may update these Terms. Continued use means you accept the changes.
