Our Story

How It Started

Mock API Builder was born out of a developer's frustration with the friction in API development workflows. As a full-stack developer, I was tired of waiting for backend APIs to be ready before starting frontend work. I was tired of writing custom mock servers for every project. I was tired of the delays.

In 2024, I decided to build the tool I wished existed: a platform that could generate production-quality mock APIs in seconds, not days. Something that could import OpenAPI specs, generate realistic data, and provide all the features you'd expect from a real API: CORS, authentication, custom headers, request logging, and more.

What started as a personal project to solve my own problems quickly grew into something I wanted to share with the developer community. I realized I wasn't the only one facing these challenges. Developers around the world were dealing with the same bottlenecks, the same delays, the same frustrations.

Today, Mock API Builder serves developers across startups, agencies, and enterprises. It's still a solo project, but I'm committed to the mission: making API development faster, easier, and more accessible for everyone.
